Brad Carpenter

Brad Carpenter is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at General Atlantic and leads the firm’s information security strategy, cybersecurity risk management, and incident response. Brad Carpenter is a global cybersecurity expert with over 20 years of experience leading private sector and government teams to mitigate enterprise and cyber risks.
At FTI Consulting, he led cybersecurity services for private equity, advising firms and portfolio companies on cyber risk management, transaction services, diligence assessments, transformations, and incident response. Brad also served as a cybersecurity expert witness for litigation matters.
Brad was appointed as an FBI Special Agent, and had a lengthy career where he led major criminal and cyber investigations, and established the National Cyber Forensics and Training Alliance in New York (NCFTA), a cyber fusion center where innovative tech firms and the financial sector could operationally collaborate with the federal government. In his role as an FBI Special Agent, he advised companies on critical incidents, including wire fraud recovery, cyber and physical threats targeting executives, ransomware, business email compromise, and extortion.
