Bill Ford is the Chairman and CEO of General Atlantic, a leading global growth investor. General Atlantic pioneered the growth equity asset class and has invested over $60 billion in more than 525 growth companies since its inception in 1980.

Mr. Ford joined General Atlantic in 1991 and became CEO in 2007. Mr. Ford was appointed Chairman of the firm in 2021. Under his leadership, General Atlantic has expanded its global presence to 20 countries; has grown the firm’s assets under management to approximately $97 billion today; and has broadened its investing platform to include Growth Equity, Credit, Climate, and Sustainable Infrastructure strategies.

Mr. Ford currently serves on the boards of BlackRock, ByteDance, and Sierra Space. He has formerly served on the boards of First Republic Bank, NYSE Euronext, E*Trade, Priceline, and NYMEX Holdings.

He is involved with several educational and not-for-profit organizations including The Rockefeller University, where he serves as Chairman of the board of trustees; Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center; the Council on Foreign Relations; Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management; and the Simons Foundation. Mr. Ford also serves on the board of the National Committee on US-China Relations.

He received his BA from Amherst College and his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Prior to joining General Atlantic, Mr. Ford was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley & Company.

Jonathan Durham (“JD”) is a Managing Director and Global Head of Technology Buyouts at General Atlantic, overseeing the firm’s continued expansion into corporate buyouts in the technology sector and tech-enabled business models globally. Prior to General Atlantic, JD spent more than 16 years at Silver Lake, where he worked on significant capital commitments in areas including software, financial technology, digital marketing and education technology.

Charles Haliburton is a Vice President of Technology Buyouts at General Atlantic and is focused on the firm’s continued expansion into corporate buyouts within the technology sector. Before joining General Atlantic in 2022, Charles was a Senior Associate at The Blackstone Group within their Private Equity (BCP) and Growth Equity (BXG) Funds focusing on both control and minority oriented software and fintech investments. Prior to that, he was an analyst at Goldman Sachs within their Investment Banking Division.

Annah Jamison is a Director at General Atlantic and focuses on the firm’s Human Capital efforts. Prior to joining General Atlantic in 2020, Annah was a Senior Associate at Oxeon Partners, a boutique healthcare executive search firm. Prior to that, she was a Clinical Research Coordinator at The Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Washington, DC and Howard University Hospital.

Jonathan Lu is a Senior Associate at General Atlantic and is focused on the firm’s continued expansion into corporate buyouts within the technology sector. Before joining General Atlantic in 2023, Jonathan was a Senior Associate in the Strategic Investments Group at Warburg Pincus, where he focused on investing in late-stage software and tech-enabled services businesses. Prior to that, he was an Investment Banking Analyst in the Financial Institutions Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Stephen Brand is a Senior Associate at General Atlantic and focuses on investments in the firm’s Technology sector. Before joining General Atlantic in 2022, Stephen was an Investment Banking Analyst at Morgan Stanley.

Claudia Bobadilla is an Analyst at General Atlantic and focuses on the firm’s Portfolio Human Capital Value Creation efforts. Before joining General Atlantic in 2024, Claudia was an Analyst at Egon Zehnder, an executive search and leadership advisory firm. Prior to that, she was a Research Associate at Stanford University’s Center on Poverty and Inequality.
